Bridge 2 Hope is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to disrupting education inequities. We do this by building parent’s ability to fight inequitable systems and policies in education.

Knowing how to navigate educational landscapes, advocate on behalf of their children, speak truth to power, build the relationships needed to ensure their child’s success and be a force of united parents fighting for a better and thriving future for all children.


Role Overview


Chiefs of Staff are the key to ensuring that executives constantly remain effective in their role in the organization. They do this by interacting closely and in partnership with employees, and identifying and addressing any issues that may arise. They are also responsible for filtering key information as it gets shared up through executive ranks. They are essential in working closely with the Executive Director to build a sustainable, well functioning organization.


Key Responsibilities:


  • The COS is responsible for providing department leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork across the organization
  • The COS is to Assist the executive team members to determine and prioritize business strategies based on their schedules
  • Determine key performance indicators and how to measure team performance
  • Engage in managing team members including facilitating weekly check-ins, monitoring performance, having performance management conversations and creating capacity building plans.
  • Working with the ED, manage the financial operations of the organization.
  • Support Team and the delivery of support to Bridge 2 Hope team members
  • The COS provides strategic direction and oversight of front-end work processes, outcomes and policies and procedures.
  • The COS ensures desired outcomes are achieved in the following areas of, but not limited to, financial management and reporting, contract and vendor management, administrative support, human resources, development and implementation of operational best practices, organizational data and grant management.
  • Coordinate with the Operation Manage to ensure strong fiscal management of Bridge 2 Hope.
  • Some travel, evening, and weekend work required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 years in management
  • Skill to effectively communicate
  • Ability to interpret financial information and results to non-financial
  • managers.
  • Excellent organizational skills to set and reach project deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills to include spreadsheets, database management, internet and word
  • processing programs.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exhibit initiative in asking questions, making recommendations and independently
  • handle assignments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity (non- negotiable)
  • Ability to work as a team player and interact/assist all employees as necessary.
