***$1500.00 signing bonus ($500 at 90 days & $1000 at 180 days)

*** Weekend hourly shift differential ($1.50 more per hour on Saturdays & Sundays)

Opportunity

The Adaptive Learning Center is currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join the Team as a “Case Manager” in the Community Living Services program. This opportunity is best suited for someone who enjoys helping people, and takes pride in teaching others to be able to help themselves. The role of the Case Manager is one that offers flexibility and the chance to be a part of a close-knit team that supports one another, and works as a unit to create the best outcomes possible for the Members of the Adaptive learning Center community. This full time (40 hours per week) opportunity is perfect for anyone that enjoys working in the community

Under the supervision of the Community Living Coordinator, the Case Manager provides support and instruction to the ALC Community Members (caseload of 7-9 individuals) in all areas of life skills, including household maintenance, money management, use of community resources, meal planning and preparation, personal hygiene, medication monitoring, social skills, home health and safety, and more.

ALC offers a unique programming experience that provides a number of services under one umbrella including “Day Program Services & Activities”, “Vocational Support”, and “Independent Community Living Services” in a supportive environment for those with a desire to do and learn what it takes to live independently.

The mission of the Adaptive Learning Center is to provide a safe and healthy community for adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders to realize their individual potential for self-reliant living as defined by the ability to engage in productive work, to socialize successfully, to attend to their own physical and emotional health, and to experience on-going personal growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual, mental health, autism and/or learning disabilities (preferred)

-Desire and ability to work as part of a team

-Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

-Availability to work at least 1 weekend day per week.

-Possession of a valid California Driver's License, clean DMV record

-DOJ Background check and physical required (TB test included)

-Certification in Adult CPR & First Aid - may be obtained after hire

-Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
