Job description

Apollo Home Care Services is seeking a well-spoken caregiver for a full time office position (40 hours/week) filling two roles:

1) Support the Scheduling Coordinator by answering phones and assisting with scheduling updates in our online system.
2) Support the Client Services Coordinator by assisting with onboarding new clients, developing care plans, and supervisory visits

Help make a difference in someone's life by joining our office team. We are a home care agency that provides non-medical caregivers for seniors and disabled. You will assist our Scheduling Coordinator and Client Services Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity to gain understanding of how a home care agency works while helping advance our mission of compassionate home care for those in need.

Our Client Services Coordinator oversees new client outreach, new client onboarding and assessments, care plan development, and quarterly supervisory visits. Our Scheduling Coordinator is our first point of contact for clients and caregivers who have schedule changes or changes to their situation. You will first assist with one or two onboarding tasks as well as answering the phone and directing the call to the appropriate person. As you gain knowledge, you will be taught additional scheduling and onboarding tasks to assist with as well.

Once in a while, you may be asked to pause your office duties to go to a client’s home to be a fill-in caregiver – this is usually only once per month. Most days, you will be assisting with the duties discussed above.

The opportunity:

  • Develop or grow your understanding of non-skilled in-home care, a growing industry with high demand
  • Showcase your interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence when you interact with clients or caregivers on the phone or in person regarding scheduling, new client outreach, and supervisory visits.
  • As you gain proficiency, you may be able to take on additional responsibility in assisting with other business functions
  • Be a part of a growing, thriving business

Required qualities:

  • Positive attitude, respect for all, kindness
  • Warm personality and desire to do your very best
  • Ability to multitask; think critically to propose creative solutions
  • Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills
  • Enjoy speaking with people, getting along with people, and helping others

Ideal Schedule:

  • 8am-4pm

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior caregiving experience
  • Reliable and seeking long term employment
  • Comfortable with computers (PCs) and MS Word
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for transportation
  • Willing to submit to a background check
  • 18 or older
  • Past administrative experience a plus

Office job duties may include:

  • Answering phones and assisting the individual, or directing the call to the appropriate person
  • Evaluating daily schedules to ensure correct hours recorded via ClearCare software web site
  • Calling clients or caregivers to notify or confirm schedule changes
  • Reaching out to new clients (prospects) via phone and scheduling assessments
  • Speaking with clients via phone and in person to collect information for client intake in order to begin services for a client
  • Inputting new prospect and new client information into our online system
  • Completing and sending out new client paperwork
  • Reaching out to clients and completing quarterly supervisory visits to ensure high quality care is being provided
  • Reaching out to case managers regarding updating client certifications
  • Other miscellaneous office tasks
