Job description
Responsible for performing specialized technologist roles within the invasive cardiovascular procedure setting. Operates specific high technology equipment and utilizes products under the direction of a qualified physician to assist with procedures performed on patients which lead to the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired heart and peripheral vascular disease.

  • Performs and supports image acquisition image processing physiologic/hemodynamic data acquisition and simple EP/3D mapping during invasive procedures; assists nurses with patient management.
  • Assists physician operator and invasive team before during and after invasive procedures.
  • Provides appropriate care to patients consistent with level of training.
  • Performs activities to support the service/departmental operation.

Position Compensation Range: -

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Graduate of an accredited formal medical education program such as CVT, EMT, Paramedic, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science or similar field, or Associate’s Degree in a Health Sciences related field.

Experience: No experience required. Clinical patient care experience strongly preferred

License/Certification: RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider Basic Life Support certification required.
