Under the general supervision of the Cardiology Manager, the Cath Lab Technician in cooperation with the physicians and nursing personnel, assists with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures in the catheterization labs.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of radiographic imaging, patient physiologic monitoring, and cardiac arrhythmia recognition.

• Complies with principles of sterile technique.
• Collects and assembles data for database, outcome analysis and performance improvement.
• Responds within 30 minutes when on call.

Qualifications:

• 
  Highschool graduate required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Cardio Vascular Training program preferred or equivalent years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Tech role.
• Current BCLS Certification required. ACLS Certification required within six months of hire.
• ARRT/CCVT registration preferred and/or RCIS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Cardiac Cath Lab tech role preferred but must have one-year experience healthcare clinical setting.
