Job Summary

Responsible for the daily operations of the cage/main bank, during his/her shift in accordance with the Internal Control System (ICS) and with the policies and procedure for the Cage and Main bank.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


> Monitors the performance of team members, ensuring adherence to department policies and procedures and the MICS for each assigned shift.
> Calculate and perform daily bank deposits.
> Maintains and reconciles Cage/Main Bank accountability and related documents and safeguards for cash, casino assets, numerically controlled documents and supply inventory for assigned shift.
> Requisition supplies and equipment for Cage.
> Assist in the development and implementation of Cage policies and procedures to improve security and efficiency.
> May perform functions of Cage Cashier and/or Main Bank Cashier, as required.
> Complete and/or review the necessary paperwork to comply with federal currency transaction reporting requirements (Title 31).
> Investigate all cage cashier and/or main bank cashier discrepancies, reports, and administers disciplinary action following Kiowa Casino established policies and procedures.
> Arbitrate conflicts within casino cage and/or main bank and any guest service conflicts involving the cage, providing quality guest service at all times.
> Prepares work schedules for all cage/main bank team members.
> Performs even-money exchanges for cage and main bank.
> Reviews daily cash receipts and disbursements through the main bank.
> Maintains locked boxes for keys and the key control log, and ensures proper issuance of keys during an assigned shift.
> Maintains an adequate amount of currency in reserve for daily operation and promotional events.
> Verifies and accepts funds from soft count and ensures safe transport.
> Transfers necessary currency to main bank reserve.
> Assists with hiring, training, promoting, performance evaluations, retraining, disciplining, and terminating team members with concurrence of the Casino Manager and the Director of Human Resources.
> Assists independent auditors and internal auditors as required.
> Other duties as assigned by Management.
> Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the MICS.
> Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Kiowa Casino and of the cage department.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)

Specifics Required:
> High school diploma or GED required
> At least 21 years of age
> Associates Degree in accounting and 3 years progressive cashiering experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
> 2 year of Cage Supervisory experience
> Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations


Physical Demands / Work Environment


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to communicate using written, oral and computer methods. Must be able to operate computer equipment (for extended periods of time). Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods in excess of 8 hours. Must be able to sit, walk and/or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to independently lift up to 50 pounds daily.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office, gaming floor environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke. Extensive computer use. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile Internal and external guests. High volume direct public contact.
