Overview
Supervises and performs a variety of clerical duties that support front desk operations and imaging access for customers. Supervises personnel assigned within specific areas, or satellites of the department and recommends the scheduling of personnel, repairs, and work progress within those areas of designated responsibility. This position requires initiative, independent judgment and supervision of staff. Functioning as a team leader, the staff is flexible in the work assignments, rotates to support all aligned imaging facilities when needed and assists with training. Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of equipment, instrumentation and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care and operations. Requires utilization of simple to complex equipment. Assures staff work within their defined skill sets and utilizes established policies and protocols to perform a variety of procedures and at a level not requiring constant supervision of detail. Responsible for necessary quality control performance and documentation that supports accreditation and quality initiatives. Maintains medical imaging credentials as defined by the "Qualification requirements" policy of Imaging services. Complies with National Patient Safety Goals, HIPAA guidelines, and Corporate Compliance polices. Participates in quality and customer service programs and meets all CBL,CME requirements. The employee must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient serviced by his or her assigned department. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the human life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the departmental policy and procedure guide. Assists with the coordination of patient care for all patient types and functions as a team member

What you will do
  • Demonstrates ability to complete all paperwork/computer based forms associated with all procedures according to department policies.
  • Strives to exceed the customers/patients expectations by demonstrating the flexibility and sensitivity necessary to respond to customers needs.
  • Demonstrates organization of work, knowledge of process/procedure for applicable modality(s) and performs independently without close supervision.
  • Participates positively by taking ownership in training and support of all team members and students as needed. Leads the development, maintenance and systemization of policies and procedures. Effectively coordinates and integrates services throughout RHS and the community in order to provide a continuum of care for our patients.
  • Collaborates with physician and physician office staff to provide for the specialized needs of patients. Provides timely follow-up regarding requests and concerns.
  • Supervises the business office staff and coordinates the daily operations ensuring that all departmental policies are being followed. Monitors the work flow processes effectively and efficiently ensuring service demands are met. Responsible for business and office practices such as registration, patient check in, collection of payments, insurance verification, scheduling and order entry.
  • Creates and maintains an environment that provides integrated leadership management of the work environment that produces a service/care delivery team that is efficient, competent, and professional in order to produce outcomes and results that meets and/or exceeds the strategic/ facility/customer service goals of RHS.
  • Departmental tasks align with procedural volumes/measurement. Workflow processes are executed accurately and timely to support daily financial expectations.

Qualifications

Education
  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Associates Degree, (Preferred)

Experience
  • 3 years experience (Required)
  • Radiology BOA experience (Preferred)
