David Weekley Homes is seeking an Analyst to support our growing Build-to-Rent (BTR) business.

This person will collaborate with and support the BTR Managers and the land development teams in evaluating new BTR development opportunities, as well as support asset management of existing properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and update complex financial models in Excel for underwriting, investment analysis, and scenario analysis.
  • Analyze and monitor financial performance of properties through financial modeling, benchmarking, and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Analyze statistical data for consistency with the proforma and current forecast projections
  • Analyze the overall market, monitor industry trends and track competitor activity
  • Build trust with brokers, BTR investors, BTR developers, and Builders DWH partners with
  • Underwrite and evaluate BTR land opportunities, suitability, and development
  • Gather and summarize market comps, zoning information, market/submarket research, and demographic data for new projects.
  • Originate RFP’s to investors and General Contractor (GC) proposals for relevant assets
  • Develop and maintain reports for internal tracking.
  • Keep and maintain accurate project files, spreadsheets, databases and other duties as needed.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance required
  • Experienced MS Office user; highly proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, geothinQ, GIS Mapping, SharePoint, Google Earth, and related software platforms.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of real estate or related experience (specifically lot/land acquisition experience), including multi-family underwriting experience on scale.
  • Prior experience in multifamily development highly preferred.
  • Experience with investment analysis, with an understanding of Net Present Value, Yield on Cost, Capitalization Rates, Return on Net Assets, and Internal Rate of Return required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Will be required to drive personal vehicle on company business. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel overnight.
  • May require working occasional evenings and/or weekends.
