Job Summary


The aligned Business Office of Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) and Anoka Technical College (ATC) is dedicated to providing exceptional assistance to students with the necessary services to fulfill their financial obligations to the Colleges while maintaining the College's commitment to an affordable education. These services are provided in accordance with the policies and procedures of Minnesota State to ensure sound fiscal responsibility. The Business Office provides superior customer service to students, staff, faculty, departments, and outside constituents with a focus on accuracy, accountability, availability, efficiency, professionalism, and integrity.

The Bookstore Account Clerk exists to provide support to Anoka Technical College Student Bills and Payment (B&P) area by assisting students on any matter related to their financial accounts including tuition, fees and payments. You will provide general support to the Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College Business Office by assisting with accounts receivable invoices and collections. In addition, you will assist in the ATC bookstore and work closely with the Bookstore Coordinator on all operational aspects, including sales, stocking, and customer service.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Computer skills to effectively use and modify electronic spreadsheets and Microsoft Word documents.
  • Basic accounting and mathematics skills to accurately calculate, review and reconcile data and balance accounts.
  • Customer service skills to effectively provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone and through email and other types of correspondence.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals in a diverse multicultural and multiracial community.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working in Integrated Student Record System (ISRS) or similar accounting software.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Missouri Book Service (MBS) or similar bookstore software.

Physical Requirements

Requires daily moving and/or transporting items up to 20-50 pounds (with assistance) on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds (with assistance) on an irregular basis. This job may require other manual labor including stacking books and other materials.

Additional Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
