Job Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to start a hands-on career in automotive collision repair? We are looking for an Auto Body Technician Assistant to join the OBX Collision Center team! At OBX Collision Center, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of talented individuals in a fast-paced environment where you're sure to stay busy and continue to develop your skills. We provide a positive social atmosphere, hands-on training, and excellent pay and benefits.

The Body Shop Technician repairs vehicles following all established standards and procedures. He or she delivers the highest quality body shop repairs while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. The Technician must produce quality results on time and with efficiency.

The ideal candidate may have some post-secondary automotive training and some dealership experience, though not required. He or she has an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record and a strong technical and customer service performance record. A certification or designation in the field of automotive repair is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and restores vehicles as assigned
• Assist body shop technicians with disassembling and reasessembling cars
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs
• Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
• Follows all safety policies and procedures
• Responsible for reading work order
• Assists with coordination of parts needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Professional and dependable
• Previous body shop experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate!
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Experience working in a collision repair or body shop a plus
• Quality conscious and detail-oriented
• Knowledge of how to take apart new and used vehicles is a plus!
