wa Home Care is seeking candidates for a Billing Specialist to join our team at our West Des Moines, IA location. The Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and submission of all agency billing.
What can you expect and what’s in it for you?
- You will work with a variety of insurance companies to secure accurate and timely payment for all locations with general supervision.
- You will post cash receipts on a daily basis and follow with any payment discrepancies.
- You will ensure agency accounts receivable is worked daily to ensure all agency billing and timely receipt of payment goals are met.
- You will work directly with multiple team members throughout the agency to provide billing support as needed.
- You will provide backup services as needed the authorization and financial teams.
- Work in a fun office environment with a team of spectacular individuals!

- Be self-motivated and self-driven to complete the job duties with minimal supervision
What will make you stand out?
- Prior experience with medical billing, home health experience is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that will allow you to clearly and effectively communicate with all members of the care team
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to all individuals on the care team
