Buckeye Home Medical Equipment is a Durable Medical Equipment Company seeking an energetic, hard-working, individual for a full time Billing Specialist position. We have 11 locations across middle Tennessee and Kentucky employing over 140 people across all stores.

We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team at our company located in Crossville, TN. What we need from you:

• Answer incoming calls from our patients and our referral sources, must be done in a professional and courteous manner.
• Verify insurance which includes calling insurance companies to verify coverage for the item receiving.
• Monitor insurance verification process to assure authorizations and pre-certs are done in a timely manner.
• Audit each chart confirming that all clinical documentation is in the chart before scanning to the home office.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of Medicare, HMO’s and other private insurance billing requirements.
• Maintain a professional attitude when working with staff, fostering the team philosophy and team environment for all personnel.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Data Entry and computer skills are important for entering the correct data into the computer.
• Excellent communication skills and active listening skills are a must in order to provide excellent customer service to our patients.
• Prior medical billing experience is a plus but not required.
• Self-starter with time management skills.

Selected applicants must pass a background check, drug screening, provide proof of automobile insurance before joining our team.
