Job description
The recruitment team at Myticas Consulting is looking to hire a Network Architect responsible for the design and refinement of an enterprise-wide network ensuring we can meet our business objectives.
The Network Architect will consult and collaborate cross-organizationally to support the delivery of end-to-end capabilities.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Cisco FTD firewalls, Cisco ASR / ISR routers and Cisco Catalyst / Nexus switches.
- Extensive technical experience in implementing enterprise datacenter route / switch designs, i.e., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Vlans, etc...
- Experience with TCP/IP, VoIP, LAN/WAN and Wireless networks.
- Experience with design and architecture of cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) infrastructure environments.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki and Cisco voice gateways a plus.
- Experience with Cisco VPN technologies, IPSEC, AnyConnect and DMVPN.
Experience:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering or other Networking technologies preferred.
- Over 8 years of experience with planning, designing, implementing, and testing data communication networks both on-premise and in cloud - Azure / AWS is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience with Routing, Switching, Firewall, and WiFi operations.
- CCNP certification or higher preferred.
- Experience with spearheading engineering efforts or improvements across multiple teams.
- Experience providing vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing effective business solutions.
- Experience scripting or coding with one or more languages related to Network Automation.
- Security protocols and design...AAA, Radius, SSL, IPSEC.
- Demonstrated skills in documentation applications i.e., MS Excel, MS Visio, Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc...
Knowledge Requirements:
- Understanding of network security design concepts and working knowledge of firewall technologies.
- Understanding of other network design concepts i.e., Wireless, Load Balancing, etc...
- Understanding of SAN / NAS, Fiber Channel, and iSCSI designs and implementation ( EMC Unity preferred ).
- Understanding of VMware / vSphere virtual infrastructure.
- Understanding of Cisco Unified Computing System.
- Understanding of network monitoring platforms - Solarwinds experience is preferred.
