Myticas is hiring a Data Engineering Manager that will be responsible for managing the company's data environment and supporting evolving data needs of the organization. In this role you will be developing and executing the data engineering strategy, a roadmap for data architecture, and analytics across our client's organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE but are not limited to:
- Manage a high-performing team of database administrators/engineers into the future with AWS technologies by researching and making recommendations on products and services
- Leverage your experience of advanced databases and create global active/active database solutions for 100% uptime experience for our customers / Collaborate with the digital product owners of various platforms and create great customer experiences that positively impact our customers
- Assist in workforce planning and implementing capacity to support the business and run the engine initiatives / workloads
- Ensure the coordination of change Change/Release / Configuration Management activities to ensure stability and control of services in their core critical production environments
- Lead incident resolution efforts, participates in Incident Management activities, and engages the appropriate resources to complete corrective actions in a timely environment
EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related fields
- 12+ years' of overall IT Industry experience with expertise in data processing, management, and warehousing at scale
- 8+ years of overall experience working with enterprise data platforms, ETL tooling, and administration
- Over 5 years of experience in designing, implementing and managing data quality, and acting as a data steward
- Over 5 years of experience executing data migrations across large enterprise systems
- Over 5 years of experience hiring, mentoring, and managing developers
- Over 5 years of experience in vendor management and contract negotiation
- Experience with AGILE software delivery and development practices
