Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Bender I – 3rd shift, (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) to be based out of Pueblo, Colorado. Reporting to Shift Supervisor, this person will be responsible for the quality and accurate production of elbows.

What you’ll do:

• Confirm product with the schedule and pull the appropriate inventory or finished pipe
• Prioritize tasks and anticipate needs in order to effectively manage time in order to accomplish all tasks
• Prepare pipe for the bending process, including cutting and sanding
• Place pipe in bender apparatus and operate the machine meeting proper specifications for order quantity, radius and angle.
• Prepare finished goods for inventory or shipment
• Keep accurate records, including quantity, scrap rates and oven temperature
• Safely perform changeovers
• Perform quality control duties by monitoring the cuts, color, length, radius, angle, and quantity
• Work in a safe manner, following all safety rules
• Assist lifting when product weight exceeds 50 pounds
• Keep work area clean, swept, uncluttered, and free of hazards
• Maintain open communication with co-workers and supervisor to ensure efficient and continual operation

What you’ll bring:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two year’s previous experience is preferred
• Math skills involving radius, inner/outer diameters, and length using various measuring devices
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization
• Ability to operate power tools and equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance

• Interpersonal skills, ability to communicate verbally and written
• Adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment

Within 3 months, you’ll:

• Complete any required training
• Have developed relationships with key stakeholders for this role
• Be well-versed in the importance of your role to daily operations.

This position pays $21/hour.
