Responsibilities may include:

- Provides stabilization strategies and guides and models crisis prevention, de-escalation, intervention and post-crisis strategies to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Skill development, coordination of linkage, and education and training of clients, family members, and employees.
- Eliminate barriers to treatment, monitoring of symptoms and crisis management and supervising and managing an assigned team of employees.
- Provide coaching in all areas of program to facilitate proper implementation of the individuals’ service plans and behavioral support plans.
