We are seeking rockstar individuals who can provide high quality customer service and are passionate about working with kids with disabilities.The role is providing in-home and in-community ABA therapy to children with autism.It is an excellent role for individuals with teaching, daycare, preschool, childcare, or psychology experience. Hours at our center in Waxahachie are also available, but the position will start in-home full-time.

Behavior Technicians will assist in the implementation of behavior treatment plans utilizing 1:1 applied behavior analysis principles in the home, center, and community settings. Staff is responsible for, but not limited to, implementing behavior prevention/intervention plans, collecting daily acquisition and behavior data, assisting in the development of program materials, taking client specific information through practice management software, and attending and participating in team meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize ABA strategies to provide 1:1 care to clients
  • Use appropriate clinical procedures based on each client’s treatment plan
  • Follow all components of behavior intervention plans in order to properly assist with reduction of challenging behavior
  • Implement the changes and adaptations to treatment plans and behavior intervention plans set forth by the BCBA
  • Collect ongoing data on client’s performance throughout sessions
  • Write objective summaries including, but not limited to, targets, progress, and areas of need in daily notes
  • Effectively communicate with families regarding their child’s progress in accordance with directions from the BCBA
  • Attend and participate in team meetings for each client with BCBA, parents, and additional team members
  • Collaborate with educators and other outside support staff in accordance with directions from the BCBA
  • Assist in ongoing parent and caretaker training in accordance with directions from the BCBA
  • Maintain and acquire continued technical knowledge through attendance in trainings

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong learning skills & ability to learn remotely
  • Registered Behavior Technician certification (RBT) or ability to obtain within the first 180 days of employment. Company will cover the cost of the certification
  • Access to a motor vehicle

The following training/certificates must be obtained prior to employment:

  • High school diploma
  • Driver’s license
  • Criminal background check
  • CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain one (company will pay)

Preferred but not required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 48 credit hours towards a bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, health care, or related field
  • RBT

Clinical Skills and Procedures

  • Ability to implement ABA procedures, receive and apply constructive feedback, and respond according to set protocols
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA laws and regulations
  • Commitment to professional actions and cultural competence
  • Be able to run short distances, sit on the floor, bend down, squat and kneel
  • Must have access to own vehicles for transportation to client homes or other locations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
