Behavior Analyst- Residential and Community Services
Job Summary:
The Ädelbrook, Inc. Behavior Analyst of Residential and Community services will conduct behavioral observations and assessment of behavior within residential, educational and community settings to determine functions of behavior and design intervention plans. They will provide training and supervision to staff to ensure appropriate implementation of behavioral programs and data collection. The Behavior Analyst- Residential and Community Services will design and monitor all data collection and present data and progress reports during all appropriate meetings. The Behavior Analyst will review behavior plans, Functional Behavioral Assessments, data collection and behavioral goals and objectives. The Behavior Analyst of Residential and Community Services will conduct trainings and meetings with staff to ensure adherence to all professional and best practice guidelines. In addition to the duties above these same responsibilities will carry over into the community setting to assist with implementation of behavior programming and plans to aid in the transition of individuals discharging from the residential setting. This can include training of staff and or parents and guardians. These duties also include oversight and planning with the Registered Behavior Technician assigned to the case. The Behavior Analyst of Residential will report to the Director of Behavioral Services for Residential and CRS as well as the program administrator to monitor adherence to all ethical and professional guidelines set forth by Ӓdelbrook, the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board), and the Department of Children and Families. .
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct behavioral assessments upon intake and ongoing to determine functions of behavior and guide behavior plan development
  • Develop behavior intervention plans to address problem behaviors and increase pro-social, replacement behaviors
  • Develop and monitor all data collection for assessment of treatment
  • Develop behavioral goals to monitor treatment residentially and educationally
  • Attend all relevant meetings and present data and progress reports (residentially and educationally)
  • Attend supervision meetings and trainings with Director of Behavioral Services
  • Train staff (educational and residential) on all aspects of behavior intervention plans
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly behavior support trainings
  • Conduct on site observations of implementations, competency reviews of staff, and treatment integrity checks to assess plan implementation and guide staff training
  • Organize and conduct meetings with classroom staff weekly to discuss progress and evaluate treatment and participate in residential treatment team review (TTR) meetings
  • Provide clinical supervision for BCBA candidates adhering to all guidelines outlined by the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board)
  • Review goals and objectives written for IEP’s to ensure appropriateness and adherence to best practice standards
  • Monitor school-based restraint and seclusion data to assess need for PPTs
  • Attend regular supervision meetings with Director of Behavioral Services
  • Provide on call weekend support as part of the clinical rotation
  • Work in collaboration with clinician to complete necessary clinician documents and treatment planning including but not limited to: family treatment sessions, monthly treatment plan progress report (MTPPR) administrative case review-(ACR) DCF/DDS provider meetings, etc.
  • Oversight of supervision and training of Registered Behavioral Technicians.
  • Assist in transition planning and oversight to individuals set to discharge.
  • Oversee implementation of behavioral programming, trainings and or as needed assessments in the Therapeutic Group Homes.
  • Provide any and all services assigned by Director of Behavioral Services or program administrator, potentially across any of the Learning Center Programs
Education, Experience, and other Qualifications
The Behavior Analyst of Residential must possess a Master’s degree, be a BCBA in good standing, meet and/or be eligible to meet the BACB Supervisor requirements,
and be licensed in the state of Connecticut as a Behavior Analyst.
The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience developing Applied Behavior Analytic programming and previous experience supervising BCBA candidates is preferred. The ideal candidate must have experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, developmental disabilities or with behavioral challenges (2+ years’ experience). Preferably they will have previous experience supervising others within work settings (educational, residential or human services preferred).
The candidate must have experience developing behavioral trainings, supervising staff in behavioral programs, designing and implementing behaviorally-based applied behavioral analysis treatment programs, and working with multidisciplinary teams. They must have good organizational and interpersonal skills. Current certification in First-Aid, CPR, and PMT required (provided upon hire).
