Shade Hotel Redondo Beach is looking for a Bartender to join our team!

Sea Level Restaurant at Shade Hotel Redondo Beach, is looking for a friendly and talented Bartender!

Overlooking King Harbor marina, Sea Level Restaurant at Shade Hotel Redondo Beach offers fresh California coastal cuisine, 24 beers on tap, imaginative craft cocktails, and an extensive wine list. Guests can relax with friends and family in our plush outdoor seating with cozy fire pits. With a large capacity of over 200 indoor and outdoor seats, Sea Level is the South Bay’s premier summer dining destination. Our hotel offers guests 54 marina-view luxury hotel rooms, multiple unique event spaces, a marina-front restaurant and bar, and a rooftop Aquadeck, complete with dipping pool, cabanas and lounge with views from Palos Verdes to Malibu. Ranked #1 on Trip Advisor, we take the guest experience very, very seriously (but thankfully don’t take ourselves too seriously).

We are looking to hire a Bartender who wants to be a part of our Shade family. While having at least 2 years of Bartender experience in a full-service upscale restaurant is a must, we are also looking for an individual who wants to join a tight-knit team and will stay a long time and grow with us. Whether you want to keep bartending, or grow into management, we are seeking someone with a genuine love for hospitality and finds happiness through making others happy. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule (weekend availability is a must), and we will do our best to be flexible with you as well. WHAT YOU WILL DO...

-Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests and answer menu and drink questions.

-Strong communication with kitchen staff to minimize mistakes on orders, especially allergies or dietary needs.

-Check in with guests to ensure everyone is enjoying themselves.

-Set up and clean tables as needed to ensure a clean dining area.

-Complete closing duties, including restocking items, rolling silverware etc.

-Keep uniform and personal appearance clean and professional.

-Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.

-Anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.

-Cultivate positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees and managers alike.

-Handle pressure well along with the ability to set priorities and make decisions based on quality.

-Must be well dressed and well spoken.

-MUST have at least 2 years of experience bartending in a fast-paced fine dining or casual fine dining establishment.
