Position: Bar Back

Part Time Position (2-5 shifts per week - varies)

Must have open availability

$10.50 + TIPS

Primary Responsibilities

Your duties as Bar Back will act as supporting staff member and assist bartenders in stocking and maintaining cleanliness of the bar and all areas within the venue. Replenish garnishes, juices, change kegs, refill ice, etc. Other duties include but not limited to daily organization within the beverage and dry goods storage areas, while adhering to health department codes and conduct. As well as constant gardening and bussing of the venue in between bar backing duties, and any additional assigned tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties

• MUST BE HARD WORKING & QUICK ON YOUR FEET!
• Bus and maintain venue from spills
• Assist bartenders to ensure high level of quality and speedy service.
• Ensure the bar is always fully stocked to specified par levels.
• Refill slushy machines.
• Batch cocktails daily.
• Stock coolers and beer fridges.
• Set up & break down of the bar
• Stock liquor
• Maintain cleanliness of the slushy machines
• Maintain cleanliness of the walk-in cooler on a daily basis.
• Uphold all health codes and proper procedures in accordance to the health department.
• Ensure the rest of the venue is clean at the end of the night, including collecting all glassware, wiping down tables, doing trash, etc.
• Provide excellent, friendly and knowledgeable customer service. It is our job to make sure the customer leaves satisfied, so great customer service is a MUST.
• Maintain a high quality of guest service.
• Take instruction, direction, and follow procedures provided by our department manager.
• Must Present a professional attitude, appearance and uniform standards.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
• Maintain an open line of communication with Managers.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow Team Members, and Vendors.
• Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner
• Regular attendance to all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
• Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job. Must have impeccable attendance from previous employer.
• Must be able to receive on delivery days and follow all FIFO/beverage rotational procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Work days, nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 years experience back back experience in a high volume bar.
• Extensive knowledge and familiarity with current and classic beer trends and styles.
• Extensive cocktail recipe knowledge.
• Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift.
• Must be able to regularly and safely lift heavy objects greater than 50 pounds unassisted.
• Able to stand all day while frequently bending and twisting, occasionally kneeling/squatting, and regular light to moderate lifting.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
