GENERAL DESCRIPTION : Conducts diagnostic testing, hearing aid evaluations, hearing aid fitting and dispensing, as well as, consultation and patient counseling regarding aspects of diagnosis, amplification, habilitation, and rehabilitation for both inpatients and out patients of all ages.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : Minimum of three years of clinical experience, working knowledge and experience in hearing aid dispensing and neonatal hearing screening; knowledge of the medical delivery model.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

Minimum of Master’s Degree in Audiology.

Must hold the American Speech - Language - Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology, and must be licensed in Audiology, in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HP) required within first 90 days of employment, if permanent work assignment is not the Southbridge campus.
