Position: IT Collaboration Engineer
Location: 1001 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington DC (On site)
Contract type: 6 months to long term contract.

Job Description

IT Collaboration Engineer:

Technical and End-User Support

  • Administration of cloud service tenants and on-premises collaboration components and infrastructure.
  • Diagnose hardware, software, and operator problems and take appropriate remedial actions and document installation and configuration procedures.
  • Create and publish knowledgebase support articles for newly implemented technologies.
  • Recommend necessary hardware and software solutions in response to business requirements and within budgetary contractions.
  • Perform other related duties as reasonably assigned.
  • Work closely with the IT operations team for end user support requests
  • Monitor and report on platform performance and adoption metrics.
  • Document installation and configuration procedures for supported systems and applications.

Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional organizational skills to ensure deadlines are never missed and tasks are never forgotten
  • Relevant college degree and MS Professional/ A+ certifications or equivalent.
  • Experience with MS Teams Phone administration
  • Strong experience with the use, support, and administration of Zoom, including Zoom Rooms and Zoom Webinar
  • Strong experience with conference room A/V hardware, including Zoom Room appliances, Dante devices, Crestron, and scheduler iPads.
  • Proven ability to complete tasks independently and under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic global environment and respond efficiently to changing priorities especially under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate with users having a wide variety of computer skills and assess the criticality of problems and prioritize accordingly to ensure that the most important problems are resolved promptly.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be willing to interact with members of the business and communicate effectively with IT Department.
  • Must be comfortable working independently as well as interacting effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with 3rd party vendors and partnerships to ensure Carlyle’s expectations are being met.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts and implementation.
  • High degree of professionalism.
  • Acute attention to detail.

Education and Certifications:

  • University degree in technology or relevant IT work experience.
  • ITIL or MCSE desired but not required

Positions Specific and Technical Requirements:

  • Experience with Jira.
  • Understanding of acoustics and its effects in an office environment and on A/V systems, such as reverb in a conference room, or feedback in a videoconference
  • Experience conducting site surveys, designing and installing A/V solutions
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform
  • Proven ability to complete tasks independently and under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong understanding of the OSI model.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate with individuals of various levels of technical knowledge
  • Good attitude, positive, and willing to learn

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $52.00 per hour
