ADESA is looking for an Auction Support Manager to join our Team! As an ADESA Auction Support Leader, you will direct the functions of safety, security, IT and maintenance and custodial activities of all auction buildings and grounds in accordance with location and corporate guidelines. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the regional process excellence team in promoting and facilitating the successful implementation and maintenance of process excellence programs and initiatives like PACE at the designated auction.

You will develop and maintain best practices and inspire the respective teams to achieve operational objectives. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementation of initiatives within workstream to drive change
  • Oversee assigned functional areas daily to ensure efficient and safe operations
  • Ensure safety and security precautions and rules are followed for employee and customer safety and protection
  • Drives the process excellence initiative within assigned workstreams with a strong understanding of corporate processes, collaboration across the organization and communication both externally and internally
  • Engage with customers and employees in a transparent, reliable, and positive manner
  • Influence and lead others as a people, customer and business manager
  • Support operational administration to move cars through processes with strong understanding of processes, collaboration across the organization and communication internally
  • Act as the at-auction point person for auction support needs
  • Know, practice, and ensure that company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws are always followed

  • Intermediate skills with various computer applications
  • Proficiency in ADESA operations and workflow systems

Experiences

  • High School or GED required
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent preferred
  • Five or more years of people management experience
  • Five to seven years of experience in a functional area of the position, safety preferred
  • OSHA 30 safety training certification preferred
  • Qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possesses a valid driver's license
  • Automotive/auction experience preferred
  • Proficient in verbal communication, and ability to influence and work successfully with all levels of auction organization
