Location Information

Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in a person's own home or in one of our four Twin Cities communities: New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, and Woodbury.

Rooted in history, Saint Therese of New Hope is our largest community. This care center has 168 skilled nursing beds for long-term and transitional care. In addition, the Residence at Saint Therese of New Hope houses 224 independent apartments and suites for assisted living and memory care.

Responsibilities:

24-hour responsibility for managing an effective resident care process that insures quality care for each resident and provides ongoing customer service to families and staff. Guides staff in compliance with government regulations. Has overall responsibility for the clinical management of the residents, the human resource management of the staff and the financial management of the unit. Staffing Management and administration of clinical software.

Assists the Clinical Director of Nursing Services in administering and supervising health care services provided by the Care Center. Assumes responsibility for the administration of the department in the absence of the Director.

Qualifications

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; registered with the State Board of Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred; Gerontological Nurse Certification desirable.

Experience: Minimum five years geriatric nursing; a minimum of three years management/supervisory experience.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Demonstrated working knowledge of Nurse Practice Act

· Demonstrated working knowledge of federal and state regulations for Long Term Care

· Demonstrated leadership abilities

· Working knowledge of personal computer and related software

· Strong management skills

· Demonstrated working knowledge of staffing/scheduling processes

· Considerable ability to manage change and conflict

· Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal reimbursement
