Under direction of the Small Commercial Servicing Center Underwriting Manager (Manager II), the Small Commercial Operations Assistant Underwriting Manager is responsible for acting in compliance with Corporate Underwriting Guidelines and Procedures whose primary responsibility is managing teams that handle servicing tasks; establishing positive working relationships with brokers, and a focus on customer service. The position will involve working collaboratively with Corporate Underwriting, Marketing, Middle Market, the Special Risk Unit as well as SCO internal segments which includes New Business, Servicing and Renewals to provide a positive customer experience.

The job requires an in-depth understanding of the policy life cycle and strong underwriting experience with an analytical approach to identifying and resolving problems while fulfilling responsibilities in a highly professional manner. The ability to excel in a fast paced environment requiring initiative, sound judgment and a positive attitude; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, while constantly adapting to changes. Work effectively as a team member contributing positively to the success of SCO or enterprise projects and initiatives.
