Overview:
The Area Sales Director is responsible for directing the activities of Account Manager and Care Transition Navigator to execute strategic marketing plans, development and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders and deliver consistent revenue and referral growth. Responsible for the admission activity for their territory and each of the Account Managers/Care Transition Navigators they supervise.

Salary Potential: $90K with opportunity for competitive commission structure based on adding territories and rep performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, interview, hire and train qualified sales professionals.
  • Facilitate education regarding Medicare guidelines with sales team and referral sources.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for their own territory and for each Account Manager/Care Transition Navigator they supervise.
  • Territory development and implementation of sales strategies.
  • Monitor sales team activity to ensure appropriate focus on target accounts and target programs.
  • Develop and guide Account Managers and Care Transition Navigator to perform at their highest.
  • Communicate weekly with Regional Vice President of Sales to discuss market strategy.
  • Maintain strong relationships with branch management to ensure collaboration to reach revenue.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing sales referrals and other sales related
  • activities in accordance with Stark Laws, Anti-Kickback laws and company policies.
  • Read and adhere to all Agency policy and procedures.
  • Participate in in-service education and other personnel training.

Physical, Mental, Miscellaneous Demands
  • Prolonged sitting required, with the ability to operate office equipment which may include heavy lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Requires the ability to always handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner. If required to make patient visits, prolonged standing and walking required, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients.
  • Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and Agency needs.
  • Must have and maintain valid Driver’s License, and proof of current valid auto liability insurance.
  • Travel to various geographic locations required. Some overnight stays required.
  • Requires current CPR certificate, and the ability to maintain a current CPR certificate.
  • Requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds continuously to move objects.
  • Work deals mostly with areas such as preparing and reading data and figures, records, reports, visual inspection involving small details. Although important, depth perception and field of vision (peripheral) are not as critical as the ability to distinguish small details and markings very near to the observer.
  • Requires ability to grasp, pull, push, carry or otherwise manipulate objects; ability to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles and foot and/or hand-eye coordination.
  • Requires ability to communicate clearly and make self-understood effectively in face-to-face interactions; articulate with accuracy to communicate using phone.
  • Requires ability to hear and receive verbal instructions correctly, answer phones, communicate professionally with people in situations with some background noise.
  • Requires ability to concentrate on fine detail with frequent interruption; ability to focus attention on tasks for 10-20 minutes at a time on a continuous basis, 20-60 minutes on occasion.
  • Requires ability to understand and relate to specific ideas one at a time and to the concepts behind specific ideas; ability to remember verbal and written tasks/assignments from a few hours to several day periods.
  • Position requires sitting approximately 60% of time standing/stooping/bending/ climbing approximately 20% of time; and walking approximately 20% of time.
  • Excellent computer software skills necessary to produce accurate documents and materials required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel or similar software required. Proficient knowledge preferred.
  • Requires ability to work effectively under minimal supervision; exercise excellent, sound professional judgment and maintain confidentiality.
Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current auto liability insurance.

Environmental/Working Conditions:
Performs duties within the assigned territory by making visits to referral partners, including, but not limited to physicians, facilities, e.g., Assisted Living Facilities, In-Patient Rehab, acute care hospitals, participating in community events, etc. May be required to meet with patients and/or their caregivers to provide education on home care services available. Possible exposure to blood and bodily fluids and infectious diseases; the ability to work a flexible schedule; the ability to travel locally; and some exposure to unpleasant weather. Primarily work in the community promoting the coordination of all Agency activities to ensure the highest level of professional patient care. Qualifications:
Education: Must have a college degree, equivalent experience or a licensed professional.

Experience
: One year experience in home health or healthcare sales. Wiliness to travel 40-50% of the time. History of meeting sales goal, territory management and motivating and developing others.

Skills: Effective communication, collaborative, relationship builder, time management, solution oriented, eager to teach and train, ambitious, and motived. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with referral partners, all segments of the staff and the lay and professional public.
