Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

As a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analytics Developer, you will utilize modern BI tools and data platforms to support the AF Solutions (LAAC & EP) Sales team at Boston Scientific.

This position is hands-on (does development) and provides technical leadership that will enhance the capabilities of the Med-Tech environments used by our customers, field organization, and senior leadership.

This preferred location for this position is in Arden Hills, MN (hybrid).

Job Description

• Translate business objectives into requirements to facilitate information solutions that drive outcomes
• Use data to depict or highlight key organizations’ trends and metrics
• Develop and maintain visually pleasing and interactive analytical tools used by the business (i.e., dashboards, visual reports and KPI scorecards)
• Identify and recommend opportunities to optimize reporting
• Collaborate with internal customers to identify insights, trends, and potential opportunities, interventions, and solutions
• Provide analytical support through ongoing reporting and ad hoc analysis
• Troubleshoot data discrepancy issues as they occur, identify criticality and impact, provide support and appropriate workarounds
• Excellent communication skills and analytical thinking with ability to grasp complex concepts and ability to communicate internally with all stakeholders
• Understand industry trends and translate and present those capabilities to technology & business leaders
• Ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 5+ years of relevant work experience analyzing data, trends, and creating reports.
• Solid understanding of SQL.
• Extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau dashboards & analytics.
• Experience working with large and complex data sets and can write queries to create calculated fields when needed.
• Experience in the effective use of data blending, filters, actions, and Hierarchies features in Tableau.
• Expertise in handling data across various sources like HANA, Salesforce & others by incorporating appropriate data blending techniques.
