Responsibilities:
This position will serve on the Air Vehicle team supporting development and verification of the rotor and drive system to include support requirement generation. The successful engineer will act as a representative in airworthiness process by providing an independent assessment of rotor system and drive system risk. Recommend courses of action to the technical leadership based on technical maturity, cost and schedule. Additionally, monitors OEM design progress to facilitate PM approval of the applicable milestone, technical entry & exit criteria. Supports technical planning and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Assesses/conducts/reviews system and subsystem-level trade studies and analyses to support development and decomposition of requirements. Supports competitive prototyping and EMD-phase acquisition activities including design reviews. Provides input into development of FVL technical and contractual/programmatic documentation.

Air Vehicle Drivetrain Engineer to support our
Redstone Arsenal, AL location.

Recommend courses of action to the technical leadership based on technical maturity, cost and schedule. Qualifications:
Required Skills/Experience :
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a technical field related to Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience working on DoD development programs.
- Experience with helicopter transmission, gearbox, and drive system development and qualification.
- Experience with helicopter rotor system development and qualification.
- Experience developing technical plans and resolving technical challenges.
- Travel: 25 %
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

- Ability to support complex development and engineering projects, work effectively with others, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work as part of a team conducting trade studies, technical projects, and development solutions.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships and rapport with subordinate, peer, and management personnel within the home organization and with contemporary organizations and contract partners.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications to include TEAMS and OneNote
