Position Type: Full-time, Hourly

Location: In Office; Portland, OR

Wage Scale: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour

Benefits: Full-time Regular Employees (and their families) are able to enroll in medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and 401K. Employees will also accrue 80 hours of vacation per year for the first 9 years and eight paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform reconciliation and payments
  • Communicate discrepancies with management
  • Identify slow paying customer and recommend collection
  • Communicate with customers regarding past-due accounts
  • Prepare and analyze reports and processes
  • Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
  • Maintain accounts receivable records by:
    • Ensure again is up to date
    • Credits and collections are applied
    • Uncollectible amounts are accounted for
    • Miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipts and posting of cash
  • Support other accounting and finance team members, inventory management and cost accounting

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Previous AP and/or AR experience
  • Understanding basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
  • Strong attention detail and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Regular attendance is required
