Job Summary

Classic Aviation, LLC is currently seeking to hire a well-qualified and experienced A&P Mechanics at the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport!

Job Requirements:

Experience:

  • General Aviation: minimum 1 year.

License:

  • Airframe & Powerplant (Required)
  • Inspection Authorization (Preferred)

Current A&P License or 1 year work experience in General aviation industry.

  • Must have no history of drug or alcohol convictions.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong organizational skills and knowledge of aircraft parts.
  • Must be proficient in use of Windows based computers.
  • Current A&P License or 1 year work experience in the aviation industry.
  • Candidates must possess the following behavioral attributes: good attendance, positive attitude, initiative, discipline, accountability, dependability, honesty and dignity
  • Candidates must possess the following skills: ability to establish effective working relationships, good verbal and written communications skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask and objectivity.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand the English language per 14 CFR Part 65.71 (a) (2).
  • Must own basic set of aircraft maintenance tools.
  • Must take instruction and guidance well.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must hold a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities and Duties (Aircraft Maintenance)

  • Airframe, Powerplant, and Propeller periodic and special inspections
  • Airframe, Powerplant, and Propeller Repairs
  • Airframe & Powerplant modifications
  • Aircraft systems troubleshooting, diagnosis and parts requisitioning
  • Compliance with company & FAA documentation requirements
  • Familiar with the policies and procedures contained in the company manuals, submits changes as appropriate to eliminate conflicts and/or enhance operational effectiveness
  • Comply with 14 CFR (as applicable), manufacturer’s specifications, company policies and procedures, as well as other methods accepted by the FAA, when accomplishing maintenance
  • Update aircraft fleet status information for the Company aircraft as directed
  • Conduct on-the-job training as assigned by the Base-Manager/Supervisor
  • Properly executes maintenance work records
  • Maintain the maintenance work area in a clean and orderly condition
  • Responsible to open and/or close facility
  • Perform aircraft run-ups and taxis
  • Clean aircraft after completing maintenance
  • Additional duties as assigned
